Challenges in video games generally include riddles or puzzles. But for these seven game titles, the puzzles are no longer fun to solve because they are just frustrating. Either it’s super difficult or it’s actually easy, but it’s made lengthy. The following are some of the games in question.
- Silent Hill 3 – Shakespeare’s Stansa
Honestly, we often hear the name Shakespeare but that doesn’t mean we have read it. Especially as Indonesians, we don’t understand very literary English. Obviously this section of Silent Hill 3 which requires you to sort Shakespeare’s books is going to be a headache.
- Portal – Room 18
The worst puzzle room in the Portal. You need to be smart to rack your brain to know when is the right time to jump, shoot and guess the right position. Plus there is a part that requires catching up with time, believe me, you want to get past this level.
- Resident Evil 3: Nemesis – Water sample
This session was very memorable to heart. Not because it’s fun, but because it’s annoying. It’s really hard to guess the correct answer since the puzzle itself changes randomly each time you start a new game, leaving you unable to really remember it.
- Pokemon RedFire / GreenLeaf – Electric gym
The puzzle in the gym is easy: all you have to do is guess the two buttons in the trash box. The problem is that there are 15 trash boxes and once wrong, you have to start over. Even though there are hints, that doesn’t change the difficulty, making this puzzle more fortunate.
- The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – Myahm Agana Apparatus
Have you ever tried a game of rolling a ball in a maze using only moving the maze? This concept is included in this game. What’s worse is that the controls are not good and your ball can get out of the maze and fall, making you have to take it back downstairs and waste a lot of time.
- Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake – Hatch an owl
One of your missions in this Nintendo game is to break through gates that have laser defenses. Simple, but complicated.
You have to find eggs, walk into the facility, wait for the eggs to hatch, release the owl to make sure the guard is late, then turn off the laser gate. Simple isn’t it? Not at all.
- Hotel Dusk: Room 215 – Chapter 10
There is nothing more annoying than solving a puzzle while pressed for time. In chapter 10, you will be trapped in a closed room and required to turn on a computer before running out of air.
You will only be provided with a pencil, Nintendo DS features and a data set to solve this puzzle. Finish without a walkthrough if you can.
Even those who are good at the puzzle will raise their hands for this part. Of all of them on this list, have you ever tasted anything? How long will it take you to solve this puzzle? Guaranteed some of you will end up not continuing the game.
